Welcome to the Vineyard Church of Elgin! We are a group of people who are committed to knowing and experiencing God and His love. As we experience God's presence, we hope to become more like Him so we can love like He does. Church happens outside of 220 Division Street. We want our neighbors to know how our lives have been transformed. We want to feed the homeless. We want to bring the wonderful news about Jesus to the nations. We want everyone to know that there are no marginalized people in the Kingdom of God. We want to bring the Kingdom of God to earth.

What if you had another family ...

On Sundays, we gather for worship, teaching, communion, and community. But church goes beyond Sundays for us. Church is all week long. Church is a family who prays together and grows in relationship with God with one another. Church means that the weak lift up the strong because we are all weak at some point. Church means giving to those who have need and celebrating with those who rejoice. Church is family.

Bake Sale to Bless Dotun and Ami Modupe

Cookies

A bake sale after the morning service on Sunday, Feb. 12, will be used to bless Dotun and Ami Modupe, who have a financial need of $1600 more per month in order to stay on the mission field.

Just For Girls

For girls who are worshipers at heart and possibly interested in music, Sarah Fahringer will host a Girls' Worship Workshop at VCE on Saturday, Feb. 18, from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Baby Bottles for the Life Center

Here's an easy way to bless the moms and babies at TLC's Life Center. Pick up a baby bottle from the back of the Sanctuary and fill it with loose change, bills or a check. Return the bottle by Sunday, Feb. 26, to an usher or the church office, and we'll get it to TLC. Help us "Show the Love!"

Hey Moms and Dads, looking for a better option for Thursdays than dropping off your kids at TNT, driving home, and then turning around and picking them up again?

Learning to Minister in the Gifts of the Spirit

Fan the Flame is a teaching series to help us use spiritual gifts and understand the theology behind Vineyard's "Radical Middle" philosophy. The next opportunity in the series is about the gift of prophecy on Sunday 2/12 with Ed and Molly Loughran.

The Homeless Ministry needs 11 cooks for February breakfasts. Also stocking hats, gloves and socks are needed.

Swing a Hammer for the Hunts

Chris and Sarah Hunt are officially on the volunteer calendar with Habitat for Humanity, and now all they need is volunteers! The house has been gutted, and rebuilding will soon be underway.

Workdays will typically be on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Check out Sarah's blog to see photos and find out how to sign up with Habitat to help with the build. Be sure when you register to list yourself as "Family Partners and Friends" so the Hunts can benefit from your hours!
